Brake system
Whatever the type of car that you have whether it is Ford or any other brand, it is very important that you are familiar with its braking system. Plus you also need to know how to care for your car brakes. Why? It’s because your brakes are the basic safety feature of your car.

In order to avoid future brake problems you need to regularly inspect and maintain your car’s braking system. Here are some of the steps that you can follow:

1. Don’t forget to check the fluid levels.
2. Check also if there is rust or punctures. If you want a thorough checkup you may consult a qualified auto technician.
3. Inspect the brake hoses. Take notice of cracks or brittleness. If you can hire a professional auto technician then so much the better.
4. Inspect the brake linings and pads for any damage. Likewise, check the brake fluid and the grease if it’s still sufficient. A professional auto mechanic can help immensely especially if you want a thorough brake check.
5. Check the wheel bearings as well as the grease seals. See if they need to be changed.
6. Adjust the parking brake in accordance to the required tuning. It would be safer if you could hire a pro to do the tuning of your brakes.

Warning signs that something is wrong with your brake system:

  • There is a squeaking sound which is caused by intense heating of brake pads or linings.
  • There is excessive rubbing which is usually caused by metal brake rotor rubbing when it comes to contact with a metal component of the brake pad. The rubbing sound usually indicates that the brake pad needs to be replaced since it is completely worn out.
  • Softening of the brake pedal indicates the possibility of a brake fluid leak or possible air in the lines.
  • Brake pull is a sign that linings need to be changed or maybe pistons are stuck in the calipers or wheel cylinders. It may also indicate saturated linings which are caused by grease and brake fluid.

Aston Martin for Sale
Ford is willing to consider Aston Martin to go on partial of full sale, Ford CEO William Clay Ford said in a company statement.

The Dearborn automaker is currently trying to figure out how to get out of its financial mess. Aston Martin, one of the automaker’s prized brands, may just be, according to Ford, the "most logical and capital-smart divestiture choice" for the troubled automaker. There is still no assurance that a sale will actually take place and Ford did not name any prospective buyers.

Ford also is yet to decide on the fate of the other brands in the Premier Automotive Group, particularly Jaguar and Land Rover - which reports say have caught the interest of an investment firm in which Jacques Nasser; the former Ford CEO is a partner.
